The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Dakshin Dinajpur has been constituted under the provisions of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 with the objective of providing free and competent legal services to the weaker sections of society and to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities.

The Authority is engaged in organising Lok Adalat for amicable settlement of disputes, conducting legal awareness and legal literacy programmes, and facilitating access to free legal aid through Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) across the district.

Special emphasis is laid on providing legal support to women, children, victims of trafficking, victims of domestic violence, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and other marginalised sections of society.

The District Legal Services Authority, Dakshin Dinajpur also plays an active role in preventive legal services by spreading awareness regarding legal rights, duties, and available welfare legislations through outreach programmes, camps, and community-based initiatives.

This official blog of DLSA Dakshin Dinajpur serves as a platform to share information regarding its activities, programmes, schemes, and services for the benefit of the general public and all stakeholders.
